WALTHAM, Mass. - June 28, 2004 - Terra Lycos (NASDAQ: TRLY), the global Internet Group, today launched new enhanced free features to its award-winning Blog BuilderTM tool ( making Lycos Blog Builder one of the most comprehensive and dynamic blogging tools on the Web. Lycos continues its lead among online publishing sites, combining easy-to-use blogging tools with Web hosting, domains and more generous storage space for photos and audio and video clips. The new Blog Builder features provide the flexibility and versatility that other blog sites do not offer. Lycos Blog Builder now includes key features most requested by Tripod ( members including mobile blogging (moblogging), or blogging from mobile devices like cell phones and PDAs, making it easy to update blogs and upload photos "on the go" for free. New digital media uploading tools also make it easy for members to post photos and audio and video clips, also for free. Lycos Blog Builder now features new templates for parenting and fitness blogs. In response, Lycos has added open community blog features, making blogs more flexible for multi-member groups, connecting members around areas of passion they are interested in most. New Blog Builder Features include: * Mobile blogging (moblogging) capabilities to update blogs from e-mail, cell phone and PDA's * Free Members now have access to all premium features including easy-to-use photo post tool, spell check, community blogs and advanced customization. * Upload video and audio clips to blogs * Cut tag features to make it easier to scan long posts * Open Community Blog features, similar to online clubs * Metatags for search engine optimization * New family, fitness and teen-centric templates All blog features previously available to only paying Tripod members are now available to all Tripod bloggers. Free members, however, will be restricted to only three blogs while paying members will have unlimited blogs. Paying members also have significantly higher storage and bandwidth capacity. Additionally, Lycos plans to roll out these same Blog Builder enhancements to Angelfire ( members in the coming weeks.
