(http://www.lycos.com), a leading provider of social publishing, media and search services, are pleased to announce an agreement to integrate Multiplied Media's Poynt local search service into Lycos's WhoWhere.com (http://www.whowhere.com/) people search engine. The solutions will include online web, mobile web and mobile applications for such platforms as iPhone, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry.
The current WhoWhere.com site gives users the ability to search for people and businesses based on an address. The new WhoWhere.com, with the addition of Poynt's local search functionality and integrated mapping technology, delivers people and business search results that are location-centric, giving users the ability to locate nearby people, businesses, movies and events. Other features of the new WhoWhere.com include driving directions, business contact information, movie showtimes, movie and event ticket purchase, and a weather feed.
